Known as a La Crosse County Historical site the original site of Stevenstown has hopping, in the mid to late 1800’s. Where this home now stands was The Fountain Hotel, a cultural hotspot. A stopping point between La Crosse and pineries to the north, the site featured a post office, dance hall, tavern and the inn. The Fountain Hotel burned in 1892, and Stevenstown was moved to its present location. Being in excellent structural condition, the current owners completed the home renovation in 2013, building to last several more generations. The property has been in the family since 1852, 168 years, and is ready to be passed on to the next family that will treasure it.
